What can be used to restore the original softness of the insert?

1. Try to clean the outside with baby oil and then powder. I use corn starch.
2. Put them inside a nylon stocking to prevent this, it acts as a barrier to reduce friction & sticking between the insert and cavity. Some of my dolls have such wear inside the cavity but not on the inserts.
